SETRALIT®

Setralit® is the perfect synthesis of nature and technology. A technology, which is of use for the mankind without damage of nature and environment.

After intensive research ECCO has created a multiplicity of high-quality technical fibres made of natural fibres from renewable resources. These fibres are totally harmless in terms of toxicology. They are able to substitute fibres which are known to pollute the environment, like asbestos, or are otherwise in question like glass and other synthetic fibres.

In many cases these fibres can be substituted 1:1 without any loss or quality of the end product. In other cases new composite materials can be created with the aid of Setralit®.

This natural and environmentally harmless semi-finished product comes to use in: break and clutch linings, plastics, bitumen, construction materials, nonwovens, etc..

Setralit® - fibres are gained from flax, hemp, kenaf, sisal, jute, ramie and other fibre plants. With the help of the ultrasonic break-down and cleaning method and after several subsequent refinement steps Setralit® becomes a high performance industrial fibre.

Because of the worldwide available resources of vegetable fibre raw materials, ECCO sees a chance for developing countries to invest in new environmentally sound technologies.
